About Simon Pruciak

Simon Pruciak is a visual artist, photographer also working with moving image, researcher and academic.

Born and raised in Poland, educated in Ireland, USA and the UK, having lived for a year in Ghana, he is currently based in Cyprus with strong presence in the UK.

Pruciak is also a DoP. Projects for which he directed the cinematography were premiered during the 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 (also direction and production) Venice Biennale. 

Currently Pruciak is a PhD candidate in 
School of Humanities and Social Sciences, in the Department of Communications at the University of Nicosia with thesis “Historic Trade routes as liminal spaces – immersive journeys from physical to virtual and back.”
